Our Weekend club runs start at 06h00 from the Randburg Harriers Club House (07h00 in June and July). These provide the Long Slow Distance runs for the major races such as Two Oceans, Comrades, City to City, Soweto Marathon & The Tough One. The distances run are therefore part of a schedule building up to these races.
Weekend Club Runs happen every Saturday and Sunday; unless otherwise advised. Routes vary each weekend and distances range upto 35km, with shorter route options available from 10km; catering for all fitness levels and goals.
Each runner is supported on-route with a dedicated central water point, manned by a ‘weekend host’. The water table is every 4 to 5 km, ensuring runners are kept well hydrated and fed.
All participants are requested to stay in small buses for safety reasons and to be mindful of other road users.
Guests and visitors are most welcome! We do request a voluntary donation of R20 to help maintain the standards of the Randburg Harriers Club Runs.
